I am a Ugandan professor and businessman that is proud to be part of the impact that afya is creating. I joined afya in April 2019 as a long term partner and provide a broad network in Uganda and deep knowledge of the local markets. Together with the team in Germany and Edward we are working to establish spirulina in the diet of Ugandans.

As the operations manager of the production facility in Kampala, I take care of the spirulina. Besides fertilizing, harvesting and processing the algae, I control several quality indicators and supervise the external testing procedures. Using my practical expertise I am permanently working with the team in Germany to develop strategies to further improve our production process and product.

As the project manager I am mainly responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the project. Therefore, my role is to lead the team, starting from the planning, through the execution to the controlling of the project success. Besides that I serve as a liaison for the communication with main partners.
