In November 2018, we were finally able to go on our first project trip to Kampala during which we were able to gain vital information from in-field research as well as valuable market insights. We conducted a need assessment and further confirmed that introducing spirulina to Uganda would indeed have positive impact on the Ugandan diet and health and be an effective way to fight malnutrition.
In addition to this, we were able to establish first contact to pharmacies that could be potential future retail partners for our commercial product and visited schools in Bushenyi, that could possibly become recipients of our social product in the future.
